Nuance Media Manager is composed of self-hosted and cloud-based components.

Self-hosted components

The following components are available in a self-hosted network:

  • Recording Controller - Responsible for communication with the customer audio source, such as SPAN with Session Border Controller (SBC) for SIPREC. Customization may be required. Contact Nuance support for guidance.
  • CTI connector - Responsible for communication with the CTI platform. Acquires CTI events that Nuance Media Manager will publish to client applications. Customization may be required. Contact Nuance support for guidance.
  • Media connector - Responsible for acquiring RTP and feeding the audio stream to Nuance Media Manager (cloud). Supported out-of-the-box (no customization required).

Cloud-based components

The following components are available in a cloud network:

  • Nuance Media Manager - Responsible for managing the connectors, capturing CTI events, and handling media recording.
  • Nuance Gatekeeper - Performs biometric operations. Includes all Gatekeeper core components.
